Plymouth /'/Cuda vs. Ferrari Enzo

As good looking as the classic Plymouth Barracuda is, it has all the aerodynamics of a brick. It takes a lot of oomph to push these cars past 200 mph, making it a mighty goal for all but the most dedicated gear heads. But when you take a classic muscle car that fast, it can run with the priciest super exotics in a style everyone can appreciate.

This video from Legendary Motorcar shows their Viper-powered Super Cuda not just racing, but absolutely annihilating a Ferrari Enzo on Chrysler’s test track.

The Ferrari Enzo is no slouch, with a 12 cylinder engine and carbon fiber body.. it is capable of achieving speeds of 219 mph. The only American car that comes close is the Corvette ZR-1, which is much more aerodynamic than a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda.

So when Legendary Motorcar owner Peter Klutt took on the project, he knew he needed big power. To that end he opted to drop in Chrysler’s Viper V10 engine and then attach two massive turbochargers, bringing thrust up to around 1,500 hp. Backing the engine is a beefed up six-speed manual transmission and the car had to be lowered to reduce under-car drag.

oui...bon.... la cuda a juste besoin de plus de 2 fois la puissance (around 1500hp) que la Ferrari (660ch) pour faire a peu près la même chose.
on voit pas les passages en courbes à fond. dommage :P

bizarrement j'aime bien ce genre d'auto complètement transformée mais gardant une enveloppe au look à peu près street.
si il l'avait peinte d'une couleur moins flashy (la Cuda) ça aurait été parfait. je suis fan absolu des sleepers
